WHAT IF IT’S MY FIRST SUNDAY? We’d love to meet you and help get you settled! We are a small congregation so we do not have a dedicated welcome team, but someone from the church will almost assuredly introduce themselves to you. Find a seat wherever you feel comfortable in the sanctuary. You can find out more about our church by looking in the bulletin and looking at our website. WHERE DO I PARK? There are two main parking lots at SABC. The largest lot is off of Dougherty Road and a smaller lot off Silver Bluff Road. The Sanctuary is right off of Silver Bluff Road, and you can enter through side doors on either side of the sanctuary or through the larger doors in the front. Sidewalks should lead you to each of these entrances. WHAT’S AVAILABLE FOR CHILDREN? Childcare for the main service at 10:45am does not begin until Children’s Church lets out prior to the sermon. We are discussing options to begin childcare at the start of the service, but these discussions are ongoing. When you arrive find a seat and say hello! Do not worry if your kids are a little loud. We love having children with us and their distractions are not a hinderance to our worship. Our childcare volunteers are friendly and committed to creating a safe and fun environment for kids to learn how to follow Jesus. All childcare workers have had a background check to further ensure the safety of our kids. Families with children of all ages are welcome to attend gathered worship together as a family unit. SUNDAYS 10:45am – 12:15pm || Gathered Worship – All ages are welcome to worship together. – Nursery: Ages 0-3 – SABC Kids: Ages 4 – 2nd Grade WEDNESDAY NIGHT MINISTRIES Spring Semester: February 2 – May 14, 2025 No meeting April 9 6:00pm – 7:30pm || Verse – by – Verse Studies – Adult Classes – Kids’ Classes: 1st-5th Grade – Nursery: Ages 1-4 FAQs Below are the answers to some of the most frequently asked questions. How long is the service? Each worship gathering starts at 10:45am and lasts for approximately an hour and thirty minutes. Where do I go when I arrive? Make your way to the sanctuary and find a seat. Will I be singled out? No. We will not ask visitors to stand and be recognized, to give a testimony, to come to the front, or anything like that. What if my life is messy and I don’t have everything together… am I still welcome? Yes. In fact, we’d be honored to have you as our guest. If having one’s life together was a requirement to attend – then SABC wouldn’t exist! We admit to being messy people who make up an imperfect family. The good news of the gospel is that God offers messy people like us a perfect purpose, hope, and joy through Jesus Christ. How should I dress? The Bible tells us that “man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” We want our attire to be modest and honoring to God. On a typical Sunday, you’ll probably find most folks at SABC in something like jeans and a collared shirt. However, some wear a coat and a tie while others wear shorts and flip-flops. Simply put: come as you are. Is there a nursing space for mothers? Yes. We have a Mothers’ Room space specifically dedicated for moms that includes nursing space, changing table, and a small play area for little ones.
